The real-world geography adds authenticity to fiction and non-fiction alike.

FAQ

Is the output resolution enough for print books?
The 2K output works well for paperback covers (6×9 inches at ~225 DPI). For large-format hardcovers, you may need to upscale.
Can I use Cartosketch output on a commercially sold book?
Yes. All paid plans include full commercial rights.
Can I generate a map of a fictional location?
Cartosketch uses real Mapbox data, so you need a real-world starting point. However, you can choose obscure or unfamiliar locations and style them to look fantastical.
